Weekly Tarotscope 26th July – 1st August, 2010
Posted by Karen on Jul 23, 2010 in Tarotscopes | 15 commentsThe week begins with the Aquarius Full Moon and the reality check of ones personal anger concerns. Frustration levels are high and have the possibility of increasing internally, due to the ingress of Mercury into Virgo and Mars into Libra. I say internally due to the fact that the next two weeks are the waning phase of the cycle, a time where you naturally feel more withdrawn and introspective.
With the outer rim experiencing it’s heightened intensity for the next month, the living experience in general will be a tangible substance. The highs will elevate you well beyond your expectations but the lows will pitch you into a personal Hades that you had no idea existed. Expect both and plan little. Realise that you control nothing other than your own behaviour, and even then, you will face the internal demon that IS your own behaviour. Yes, this cardinal crisis will do everything that it can to reveal the truth about you, your family, your home, your relationships and your ambitions – and the truth will cut deep.
On the 27th, Mars will start an applying square with Saturn, becoming exact on the 31st. Personal frustrations will peak here, as the revelation wave of delusion and reality starts to take its toll. It has been a tough year for Mars, as he has had a firm hand on his forehead more than he has been given the freedom to achieve. Success is found in the small things, the details and the planning. Progress is slow, but it is still there, so just keep plodding along.
When Mercury enters Virgo on the 28th, you can become a touch obsessive about the matters bothering you at present. This can be exceptionally difficult if you are midst tough dynamics with others, such as legal concerns, familial negotiations and relationship assessments. It can be easy to spend more time critiquing the negatives than embracing the analytical nature of Mercury in Virgo. You have the ability here to seek the most logical path to balance and solution, if you choose to ignore any surface pettiness. Take a deep breath. Keep positive as best as you can and push the critical knife blade well out of important negotiations.
The 29th finds the Yod experienced between the Sun, Black Moon Lilith and Pluto dissipate, but Black Moon Lilith is then faced with a direct opposition from the newly ingressed Mercury in Virgo. Hopefully, this energy will be expressed positively, as it gives you essential strength in which to be direct and concise about your needs and requirements regard improving your daily structure. Obviously, it can be a harsh and negative opposition, with you dealing with a lot of frank input. However, be open to the honesty and the criticism that is positive, use this free flowing energy between inner suppression and outward expression as a means to rectify long standing concerns. Mercury also connects with Jupiter in Aries, forming an uncomfortable quincunx aspect. Here, you can find yourself fussing heavily over the unessential, or bothering yourself with business that is literally none of your business. It is important that you prioritise here, refuse to react out of impatience and keep your eye fixed on the end goal.
By weeks end, the Moon enters Aries and the energy becomes an emotionally volatile mix. The 31st finds the Moon in square with Pluto, which is emotionally charged and dramatic. Add to this a lunar opposition to Mars and Saturn, and you experience heightened emotional frustration. With the conjunction to Uranus, there is pressure to release, move, become more dynamic and with the final conjunction with Jupiter, it can be the final snap of patience’s straw. Do mark this day down as one to embrace as many natural calming therapies that you know of – meditation, baths, herbal teas, essential oils, enjoyable exercise, punching bag, favourite movies, cookies & cream ice cream - whatever it takes for you to reach a level of calm is an essential. Release your frustrations through physical exertion, cry yourself a river, bury your head into a pillow and sleep – just make sure that you give yourself the room to work through this emotional process. It is just as important as the Saturn process of getting your life into healthy, working order.
TAROT ENERGY FOR THE SUN SIGNS
ARIES – Eight of Cups
There is a break in the clouds regards progress this week Aries, albeit only a small respite. You are rewarded with a minor success, some element of life shifts and you are able to breath a sigh of relief. This can be a new opportunity that may not fulfil your entire agenda but suits you just fine either way. Or, you reach a decision regards recent stagnation, deciding it’s time to move in a brand new direction. In the realm of romance, you are prepared to take the next step whether that be moving on or taking a more committed approach with your lover.
TAURUS – Eight of Coins (reversed)
Have you learned from your experiences Taurus? Or are you pushing forward despite the risk of repeating an old mistake? There are options before you and an opportunity to broaden a horizon, yet you stubbornly hold onto an old perspective. Misunderstandings can happen with this influence and your motives can be questioned. You can also feel the challenge of an authority figure who chooses to criticize you quite heavily. Be honest about the situation that arises and see what lesson can be gained from the experience.
GEMINI – Queen of Cups
You are the pillar of strength and support for those around you this week Gemini. Delving into the wealth of your life experience, you will find just the prefect advice antidote in which to improve another’s situation. Empowered with intuition and loaded with genuine compassion, you will be able to find peaceful resolution to any emotional difficulties, finding comfort and support within the intimate sphere. Enhanced creativity and a strong desire to enjoy the beauty of the world, ensures that this is a fabulous week to explore your more artistic life passions.
CANCER – Nine of Coins
There can be an increase in the financial and quite a substantial amount for some of you. For others who already experience the financial at a comfortable level, you will find that another area of life reaches a positive crescendo. Here, you reach a level of success and accomplishment in your chosen field – a promotion, a job offer or recognition for efforts. Such a positive card does reach beyond the contentment a plump bank account provides, showing you a level of spiritual comfort that is a welcome respite in such a tough astrological climate.
LEO – The Fool (reversed)
You need to tread carefully and do your best to maintain your patience Leo. Decisions made in haste can lead to difficult outcomes and reactions launched without thought will only heighten dramatics. Contemplations of the present have an air of naivete surrounding them and despite your desire to push forward, it is best if you remain stagnant. Bide your time and wait for a less tumultuous energy wave in which to bring about the dynamic change that you so desperately seek.
VIRGO – The Hanged Man
Now that Saturn has left your sign, you would like to breath a sigh of relief. But with Mars banging around on the anaretic degree and Venus not overly content where she is, life remains at a standstill for you. No doubt you are over the introspective moments, yet the encouragement to remain introspective continues. Life is pushing you to rest and reflect whether you want to or not. Whilst this is frustrating, you are learning a great deal through the process of inaction. Rather than notice what is missing, look deeply into the present and find the perfection that’s within.
LIBRA – Two of Cups (reversed)
There is the possibility of minor discord within relationships Libra, possibly a disagreement amongst friends. The encouragement of Saturn to bring your ‘home’ into perfect balance, will bring the negatives within your present connections into the spotlight rather quickly. Whilst there is the potential for a relationship closure with this card, it is still salvageable with fluid communications. However, do be warned that with such intense skies, it can be extremely easy to be overly dramatic. Keep your cool and maintain your logic.
SCORPIO – Nine of Wands
Battle, or confrontation, can be the last thing on your wish list Scorpio, but if it faces you – know that you have the strength and experience to meet it head on. Plans and hoped for outcomes experience some level of delay and there are moments where you literally feel beaten. However, burning within is this amazing fire of passion that will left you up any time that you stumble. You will be victorious Scorpio, no matter what the challenge may be, just keep going.
SAGITTARIUS – Knight of Coins (reversed)
You can leap over the edge of no return with your dealings with others Sagittarius, and may well have to temper your actions. It is a very opinionated energy flow and freedom of expression is never a concern for you. However, with such a critical edge attached to interactions and your naturally straight-forward disposition – you can push things too far and cause an unnecessary dramatic. Speak out where justified of course, but be aware that your sensitivities are more numb than usual and you can easily hurt someone, or something that is precious to you.
CAPRICORN – Four of Cups (reversed)
Where there has been boredom, now there is enthusiasm. There is much to do and you finally have the energy drive in which to do it. There is nothing like staring down the barrel of a full schedule to fill you with contentment and you are happy to withdraw from the more sensitive possibilities of the present cosmic agenda. Whilst this is a positive for clearing out the to do pile, make sure you don’t neglect your rest and be prepared to face any emotional upheavals as they arrive. It is easy to dip into solitude and dive into work to block out the upsets, but they will still be there when your schedule is cleared, so best to work it out as it happens.
AQUARIUS – The Tower
An event or situation arrives through the week that shakes the present foundation at its core. It could be an ideal, a hope, a new relationship that faces this upheaval but what lies ahead is the end of an era. Consider your original intentions if this change brings about disappointment. Did you leave yourself wide open for the let down? If so, how so? If there is no disappointment just relief, this change is a much needed, ‘amazing’ blessing in disguise – enjoy.
PISCES – Five of Wands (reversed)
What was once healthy competition, takes a nasty turn this week Pisces. Confrontation and airing one’s grievances is a positive, but as long as the personal insults and extensive criticism is moderated. Choose your battles wisely, if at all and if entering passionate discussion, do expect it to hit below the belt. You could also find that a supposedly trustworthy ally becomes a turn coat, or where you have chosen to support an alliance in the past, your attachment changes and you no longer wish to do so.

I think I am scared….. should I be?
Mxoxoxo (Aqua)
lol you know that you were the first person that came to mind when I pulled this card
Look the Tower is tough to predict due to its ‘uranus’ like nature, but as an aqua sun, you know his drill so will handle it better than someone, like me, who has a puny aqua rise
Think good thoughts and be open for a surprise energy shift. It could be good, great or just different, something unexpected xo
LOL!!!!!!! love you to bits K xo
Well I am soon enough going to find out I suppose. I have been REALLY good otherwise the past say 3 weeks, something has shifted which I cannot explain and I am starting to feel like my old happy self again. I still have my down days but generally I think I am in a good place (far cry from some months ago).
Like you say – think happy thoughts.
M xo
That’s the way! The end half of the year is going to be fab for you and you’re nearly there xoxoxoxo
As Libra fears of unknown and feeling of unstability still persist since last 2 years.Financially i full fill all my obligation.in mrning each day feel depress
Hang in there Ejaz. Good things will come through the tough times xo
I’m really enjoying this combo of astrology & Tarot. It is a challenge for this Libra to maintain emotional balance under these intense skies all right. ***sigh***
diane~
The 31st sounds like an awesome day to hide! Pluto is conjunct my Mars, and adding the square to the Aries Moon seems like the perfect recipe for obsessive behavior – which my Scorpio South Node and Sun-Pluto quincunx don’t need any help with!
While I’m starting to come to terms with the water signs in astrology (I used to think Pisces was the height of wishy-washy), I’m somehow annoyed by the Cups in tarot. Visceral reactions being what they are – and since that’s most of what I have to go on – I have a disdain for the Cups and an attraction to the Swords. I use the Hanson-Roberts deck, and even though the images on the Swords seem so full of despair (again, visceral), the smiling blondes on the Cups bug me!
But, I’ll go reconsider the Eight of Cups and see what I come up with.
I do love the 9 of Coins for Cancer. It’s one of my favorite cards and I’m always thrilled to draw it. I’ve got my fingers crossed on this one.

Astrology and Tarot are a fab combination. It’s really interesting when a sign pulls the same energy for a while too, you see this ‘theme’ unravelling.
Well, I ‘really’ disliked the pocket of 28-29th – no idea, the charts make my tummy feel ill, which in the past has been a signal that ‘something’ is going happen somewhere in the world. But aspect wise, the 31st is a horrible day, well worth planning a quiet one at any rate.
Cups are water and anything mixed with water is wishy-washy lol and Pisces/Neptune definitely wins the prize for ‘most elusive and confusing energy’. That is one deck I have not used but I have heard good things from the people who have used it. lol @ disliking the blondes in the cups, that is funny. Bit like my inner prude getting a stuff upper lip with nudity in the card art lol no idea, I juust don’t like it
Oh me too cj
Then I had to go and pull the TOWER for my rising and there went my dreams of riches lolol I am expecting a tax refund any day now, which explains this, so the Tower no doubt means it is only about two cents worth of refund lol
Fingers crossed for you xoxoxo
Well, yesterday’s news works well with this and the Full Moon, which opposed my natal Ceres in the 7th. Regards child maintenance (Ceres), there is a surprising (Tower) upwards spiral in what is to be paid (Venus in the 8th conjunct Pluto) to the kiddies (( of coins).
Technically not mine but sooooooooooooo needed for the teens, especially with one finishing school and preparing for Uni this year.
So hang in there Ms M xo
Had to check your Tower card, naturally. Aquarius?! Holy Smokes, that’s me, too! I do have an era ending — my boss is leaving and moving out of state. A great person, and I’ll miss him dearly. This will definitely herald huge changes.
:O CJ! NO wonder you’re so cool and orginal, awesome. Sorry about your end of an era
