It’s official, the big ball of gas waves farewell to Virgo and you’re excited. What a crusty transit it has been but what fabulous advancements you have made. On reflection, you should be very impressed with all that you have achieved this last few years and how you have altered your daily flow to allow more happiness into your life! Regardless of the fact that it has often felt like fingernails dragging down a chalkboard to reach this point in time.

As you have read numerous times here and on your other favourite astrology websites, Saturn’s shift into Libra turns the focus from health, well-being and the daily grind, towards your intimate connections, both work and pleasure. Until early October, 2012, you will be working hard at 7th House issues by redefining your relationship and career dynamics to being more suitable to who you are as an individual.

In tarot, Saturn is symbolised by the card, The World. This influence indicates that you have reached the end of a cycle, be that happy or sad, exciting or devastating. Here you stand and look out towards the future as a major event, relationship or life goal reaches it’s grand finale. It is an energy of achievement, where you are able to reflect upon your efforts, learn from your mistakes and reap any rewards. It is the penultimate inner drive to find that personal grail that you believe will bring you inner peace and happiness.

With Saturn’s journey through Virgo, the influence expectations of the World, wandered into the land of the Hermit and life became more introspective, anti-social and exploratory. The World had an agenda and that was to connect with your inner Shaman, your often hidden, inner wisdom. In Libra, the World will dive into the realm of Justice - a cool, aloof place that will bring your intimate life into balance, be it by pleasing new unions, or by heavy emotional endings.

Saturn in Libra will show no bias and take no prisoners. The next few years will see you placing your present connections on the weighing scales, sword close at hand, assessing which connections to sever quickly and without a backward glance. During the World’s journey with the Hermit, he learned the truth about what ‘the inner self craves and desires’.  Saturn in Libra will not tolerate intimate connections that fail to connect with your inner needs or that fail to understand what you as an individual deem important and essential to your life and well being.

  1. I’m ready for Saturn to leave 29 Virgo and am looking forward to more Saturn in Libra. Of course, by the time Saturn conjoins my Sun in a couple of years, the love affair will be over and I’ll be ready for him to move on. LOL

    diane~

  2. hee hee always the way! I am not looking forward to my Saturn opposition :P or his Mars conjunction *le sigh* I can only imagine how grumpypants I will be when he starts bonking my t-square :P

I was concerned about Saturn squaring my 0 Cap Mars – but now I’m choosing to see it as a lovely opportunity. I’ve yet to live through Saturn in Libra, so I’m interested to see how it plays out!

  4. What a grand way of looking at it Nic xo

I have lived through it, 1981 and it was horrible. But then, I was only 14 and living with satan’s love child, so it really had no other way to be.

BUT as you say, it is a golden opportunity as THIS time, life is within my power, where I had none as a young teen :) Plus, my little minx is around the same age and I can smother her in everything I didn’t have :)

  5. Oh, I like it here.

Karen, I had no idea about Saturn and The World. You have given me so much to think about.

Just one small point: in the description on your About page, you’ve forgotten ‘Fab’. Please rectify.

  6. *LOL* onto it :O

  7. heh done ;)

  8. Oh dear. This might take some time.

  9. Not sure whether to welcome this or not … heading towards a square to my Sun, and I’ve had about enough of Pluto opposing it! I suppose there’s still work – perhaps great work – to do on the self! Saturn in Libra heads into an intercepted place in my 6th house – I’ve never been able to get the hang of Libra energy, never been able to find the work/life balance I’ve craved. With Virgo on the cusp of my 6th house and most of Scorpio on the cusp of the 7th, Libra’s balancing energy has been submerged. Hopefully Saturn here now will give me some lessons in how to find that energy and integrate it.

  10. Yes, our Sun’s are enjoying a battering BUT it’s all for a purpose even if a tough journey on the way through!
